The Memorial Day Weekend party is still on.  If you have not yet signed up, please do so by April 10.

Here’s the deal:

The dates are Friday night through Monday morning, May 27, 28 and 29.  We have the following cabins still available:

Three cabins with two bedrooms at $256 per bedroom (which holds 2 people) for three nights.

One remaining cabin with four bedrooms at $51 per bedroom (for 2 people) for three nights, or the entire cabin for $612 (for 8 people)

These prices do not include food.

All of the cabins have complete kitchens with all utensils provided.  All bed and bath linens are provided.  All cabins have one bathroom with shower, except for one of the 8-person cabins and it has two bathrooms.  The cabins all have a wood burning fireplace, except for the 8-person with two bathrooms and it has a gas log fireplace.  Pets are permitted in all cabins except for the 8- person with two bathrooms.  An additional fee applies if anyone brings a pet with them.

Attached is a brochure, about Blackwater Falls and all of its amenities.

Let me know if you can come and how many bedrooms you want.  Also, if you are single, let me know if you want a bedroom to yourself or if you are willing to share. Anyone remotely connected to Eighth Day is invited.  If you need a scholarship, please talk with Kate Lasso who can be reached at klasso@aol.com or 202-744-0440.  We can also arrange rides for those who need them.

I can accept your down payment now (1/2 of the total due) through April 27th. I will have to give up unused cabins no later than April 27th so be sure to let me know you want to come.  I will need all of the amount you owe by May 15th.

A refund is possible if you cancel by April 27th, 2016.

Meanwhile, we have a meeting room reserved near the lodge, but I don’t think it has a kitchen.  I am thinking that we will prevail upon our 8-person cabins to host dinner, with each cabin donating to dinner.  Perhaps a couple of cabins can bring food for lunch which we could eat together.  Still working on this plan.

Sending warm thoughts your way.
