Recommitment Sunday May 19

This Sunday, Pentecost, will be our annual recommitment service.  At Eighth Day one commits to be a member for only a year at a time.  At the end of the year, you must decide whether you want to recommit to the church and to your regular spiritual disciplines.  We intend that that you will recommitt as a deliberate and conscious choice rather than out of habit. 

Membership categories include Covenant, Intern and Community Members.

Recommitment takes place on Pentecost Sunday, the celebration of the beginning of the church.  We recite our membership commitment and sign the membership book. 

Anyone who has prepared for commitment (or recommitment) can also ask for the ceremony at any time during the year.
